Proudly wear this Tokyo hanten coat decorated with dragon motifs
The hanten is an authentic coat worn by the Japanese during the Edo period. Unlike the traditional kimono, which was reserved for a higher social class, the Japanese coat could be worn by anyone.
The Japanese coat is very popular in the land of the rising sun because it combines style and comfort. Its cotton fleece lining makes it a perfect autumn or winter garment. It can be worn simply: over a white V-neck T-shirt, for example.
The motifs on the hanten jacket are Japanese dragons. Benevolent by nature, these fantastic animals are considered to be the gods of the sea and of thunder. They symbolise power, strength and good fortune.
