This silk kuro tomesode seems to be a gift, celebrating Japanese culture, nature, and artistry. You can see circular patterns ("maru") made with only plants or with flowers and leaves surrounding ox cart/genji wheels. There are also traditional fans ("sensu") across the entire piece.

This one also has a hiyoku, which is the extra thick layer of fabric at the bottom, which adds extra protection to the outer layer.
